Suggest Treatment For Lower Abdominal Pain And Loss Of Appetite

Hi, I am a min teen female experiencing a good amount of pain in my lower abdomen. It has been a couple days of going in and out and is pretty tender to the touch. When I stand it is better but sitting down and laying down makes it worse. I m a bit nauseous and have lost my appetite for the past few days (though I have forced myself to eat something). Any suggestions would be helpful, especially for pain relief.

Hello,

A low abdominal pain, associated with nausea and loss of appetite, can be due to a viral infection you are going through. You may take paracetamol for pain and use local warm compresses on your tummy to help with pain. Buscopan is another drug that can be used for abdominal cramps.

If you are sexually active then other causes such as pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases should be considered and you will need to see your doctor soon and have a proper examination including a gynecological exam and a urinary pregnancy test.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
