Suggest Treatment For Lower Abdominal Pain In A Child
My son is having pain on his belly, what he describes as his beltline. He is nine years old and the pain is severe. He had interrupted sleep after which in the morning the pain was still there. When he woke up the next day he complained that his lower abdomen aches as he takes a step.
Abdominal pain can be due to any structure in the abdomen from the skin inwards.
The pain is usually due to structures in the particular area, though it can also be referred from another spot as well. If the pain is severe or persistent, it is best that he sees a doctor for assessment.
Pain may infection, trauma, inflammation.
