Suggest Treatment For Lower Abdominal Pain While Having Hyperglycemia

I am having sharp pain in my lower abdoman. I had my appendix out 65 years ago, I am 76 now. The pain is quite uncomfortable, I have been fighting hyperglycemia; Blood glucose checks average 275-300 the last several days. I am taking 100 mgs of Januvia and 10 mgs of Glipizide per day presently. Have talked with the endocronologist about 10 days ago but she has not called me in for an appt.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of lower abdominal pain while having hyperglycemia which seems to be due to disturbance of electrolytic balance of body due to excessive production of acid and it could be due to food intolerance, food allergy , bacterial or viral infection. The symptoms you mention in query no occurring due to hyperglycemia. You should take small quantity of food and avoid large intake at a single time. You should avoid intake outside food. Keep your bed with head on higher side. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ornidazole , albendazole , omeprazole along with loperamide. You should eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana. Take oral rehydrating solution as well.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
