Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been suffering from lower abdomen pains for some 8 months I live in the UK and have had colonoscopy, CT scan, endocapsule, helicobacter breath test. Nothing wrong. My gastroenterologist has put me on a low fibre diet and probiotics. Independently I had a comprehensive stool analysis which showed vitro after Freudian dysbiosis and low fungal overgrowth. My gastroenterologist dismissed the report as being of little value. I have been taking caprylic acid with some benefit but would like a natural remedy for the bad bacteria . Any suggestions?
Since all the investigations are normal I would say this to be due to IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome. The important cause is stress and anxiety. Good control of these psychological factors either by Naturopathy, Yoga, meditation or Medicines should help you the best. Please discuss IBS with your Gastroenterologist and get rid of the symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
