Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had pain in my uterus since July 5, 2016. I felt like gas at the bottom of my stomach and so I used Gas x & alka seltzer for gas but that did not do anything and I realized the pain stayed and was more in my uterus than stomach. I am 71 years old, not sexually active. When I have to pee I must go immediately or I will leak, did not occur before. It feels as if something is pressing on my bladder. I have constant pain and when getting up from sitting it feels worse. Any ideas?
Noted the history about a 71 year old female suffering from pain in lower abdomen unable to hold urine. This is surely indicative of a problem with the urinary tract system, hence I would advise you the following: Consult an Urologist and Gynecologist for respective clinical examinations to know the basic cause supported by proper investigations. Also send the urine for routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity. Tests of blood and stool. Ultrasonography to start with supported by CT scan, pyelography and so on. All these things will lead to a proper diagnosis so that a proper management can help you the best.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
