General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pain in the left lower abdominal area can be due to several causes and a common one is constipation. You can get some senna or bysacodyl to help with it (please don't use them regularly) and see your doctor as you are planning.
If the pain is not improving or is getting worse you may need to see your doctor urgently as other more serious conditions need to be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
