Suggest Treatment For Lower Back And Buttock Pain

Today I woke up with a pain starting in my lower back above my left buttock. The pain is shooting down my left leg and into my foot. When I walk I feel immense pain in my calf and ankle. I m also having a tingling sensation in my foot. I ve taken ibuprofen and naproxen, used my tens unit and put biofreeze on it with still no relief. Should I go to the E.R.? I ve never experienced this type of pain before and I don t know what caused it because I didn t fall or anything. Please advise

Thank for posting on HCM!
You have a herniated lumbar disc. When it is deflected inserts to do the sciatic nerve back pain going down the buttocks, thighs, calves and feet. you do not need to ER, you just need have a rest on hard bed ( such as wood bed, metal bed), light movement,no heavy lifting, Injecting some painkillers such as diclofenac, tramadol ... combined muscle relaxant as midocalm, myonal , vitamin H5000UI... after a few day of pain. you have to exercise regularly, to work correct posture.
Hope helpful to you!
