Suggest Treatment For Lower Back And Hip Pain Caused Due To An Injury

I recently fell flat on my back, its been a week and I have trouble getting in and out of the sitting position. I feel pain in my lower back and right hip. Prolonged walking and going up/down stairs also brings on pain. I considered going to my chiropractor, but I am unsure if that will help or cause more problems. I have tried icing the area and taking anti-inflammatories to no relief. Should I consult my primary physician? Or could it just be bruised?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your problem can be due to lower back muscle strain or intervertebral disc injury. An examination with orthopedician is necessary to rule out this.If there is any sings of nerve deficit or pain on spine then a X ray followed by MRI of lumbosacral spine might be needed to rule out any injury to spine or discs. If it is just muscle strain then muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside NSAIDs like aceclofenac for short duration and rest for 3 to five days from hard physical exertion helps. But if there is disc injury then muscle relaxants and NSAIDs will be needed for some more longer and physiotherapy and muscloe strengthening exercise will be needed after initial rest for short period of 5 days.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
