Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain After Injury
I fell and hit the rim of a cement edge of a pool, I hit on my lower back right side and have pain when bending over or twisting or straining at all. It happened as I stepped into the pool, so not very high about 2 feet when I slipped and fell on the edge of the pool.
Since you fell and hit against the cement edge of the pool and now have backache associated with pain on bending you are suggested to get clinically examined by an orthopedic doctor. Get an X-Ray, CT, MRI done to detect any musculoskeletal strain, tear of tendon / ligament or any fracture.
In the meantime, take NSAIDS, Naproxen / Combiflam, one SOS when required. You can spray pain killers like Volini or apply pain relieving balms or gels locally but do not massage. You can connect with a physiotherapist for physical therapy, heat and cold therapy, relaxation techniques or exercises.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
