Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain After Spine Surgery
I m a 36 yr old male. I had a L5S1 fusion done feb 25,2014. My dr said he had never seen so much calcium build up on a patient my age and had to shave a lot off. Since my surgery I have had terrible pain on rt lower back. I ve had injections over the screws and I felt great for a few days then right back to hurting. In January i discussed with dr about removing the screws and he wanted to wait 6 more months. So I got a CT scan to make sure everything was good. Well bad news he said, the fusion didn t work and a screw on rt side has backed out and one on the left has broke in half. So more surgery is inevitable now. What makes the fusion not take and why would the screw back out and another break? I used to be so active and have done nothing in past year and half. He said now we will have to go to L4, replace screws with bigger screws and run a rod down cause that bone is so weak. What steps do u suggest or recommend
