Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain, Brown Discharge And UTI During Pregnancy

Hi, im 38 weeks now.i was rushed to the hospital when I was 37 weeks because of severe UTI. they gave me antibiotics for 7 days. during those week until my 38th week, ive been having light brown discharges. Pains on my lower right back part and regular contractions. I went on a check up for my 38th week today, and they gave me an option to be admited for observation but i denied cos they said , they were not sure if the brown discharge was causeed by the baby pooping inside. Now im confused. They didnt do any test to find that out. So i denied. Im seeking 2nd opinion asap. Im really worried for my baby if it really has pooped inside. Does that mean , i need to get him out right away???

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Since you are 38 weeks pregnant, you are nearing term and you need to prepare yourself for delivery.
The symptoms you are experiencing like low back pain and brown discharge is as a result of urinary tract infection, for which you have been treated for.
Your baby should be doing fine as long as you are experiencing its movements.
Hence, don't be worried about these symptoms. You will only go in for labor when the membrane ruptures and there is watery discharge. Also you will start experiencing uterine contractions. You need to seek medical attention immediately when this happens.
Till then keep your worries away and relax.
