hi ,
thanks for writing to hcm.
age related backbone problem is common due to wear n tear of the vetebral column leading to narrowing of the disc space between the two vertebrae causing pain.
the treatment which can give complete relief is surgical procedure though it is very risky and also your age may not permit it. try to apply topical analgesics and go for physiotherapy . it can give you symptomatic relief. you can take calcium supplements and drugs that prevent osteoporosis like biphosphonates after consulting an orthopaedician only.
take care.
