Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain In A Child

my 13 year old son just got horrid lower back pain to where he could not stand up straight. he was crying in pain(which he never does). the pain stretches across his lower back about 6 inches above his bottom. it hurts to even push on the area gently. what could this be?

It seems blunt trauma which you haven't mentioned or child hasn't reported to you.

It could be acute arthritis.

The treatment in both cases would be similar.

Any antiinflammatory tablet s.o.s. would do. Any muscle relaxant gel gentle application over back should also be done.

If it persists you may give safe herbal powder 'turmeric' 1/4 tsp in warm water or milk. It's tasteless. Children may take it. If no then there are turmeric filled Capsule Haridra 1 bid for a week is generally given to patients in India. This is natural pain killer, antiinflammatory, antibiotic. Even turmeric may be mixed in warm clarified butter and applied over back for natural pain relief. But it stains cloths. So wear accordingly.

It will help your child 100%, safely.
