Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain While Having Crumbling Spine
my father has a crumbling spine and is now 84 years old unfortunatley he is in a lot of lower back pain and is taking tramadol 400 milligrams per day the max. This does not appear to be touching the pain now what other pain management is there to help his situation
He will need to talk t his doctor about stronger pain medications, but these need to be used with caution in the elderly as they may increase the risk of falls. If he is having pain from vertebral compression fractures, there is a procedure called a vertebroplasty that may give him some pain relief. His doctor can let him know if that procedure could help him.
