Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain

Good evening, on Friday woke with lower back pain which later in the day I realized was my kidneys. I drink water almost exclusively but increased my intake. On Saturday morning after a long night of discomfort I went to Urgent care where the doctor said it was likely kidney stones. He gave me some pain meds which have been keeping the discomfort manageable. As of yesterday, Tuesday, I had still not passed a stone so made an appointment with the urologist for tomorrow. Today invoke with no pain but it has recently come back and I have an incredibly salty taste in my mouth that will not go away. Any thoughts?
