Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been suffering with lower back pain for the last few months. Having visited a chiropractor he advised that the pain was due to my posture as I sit too upright at my office desk, which is causing pressure on my lower back. I have visited the chiropractor on a few occasions and have had adjustments made. The muscle pain I was experiencing had eased, but I still have a pain in my lower back (which feels like it s coming from the bone rather than the muscles around it). In the last couple of weeks I have noticed that my right eye keeps twitching (on and off), which I put down to tiredness as I haven t been sleeping very well, but in the last several days I ve also had a constant numbness in my right big toe. In addition, I had my first experience of sleep paralysis a couple of nights ago, which I don t know whether is linked? I m now beginning to worry that I may have some nerve damage? Please could you advise whether you think this is likely? Thanks!
Lower back is commonly caused due to bad posture. Lower back pain can be managed by pain killers and exercises. I suggest you to consult your orthopedist for clinical assessment and thus management.
