Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain

I am experiencing lower back pain, right sided and it radiates down my right buttock and my right leg. The pain can be intense at times. I feel it more when I get up from a sitting position or when I walk for a few minutes after getting up from a seated position. I feel it when I move around in bed. It is not flank pain, it is below the flank area. It is more painful at the top of my pelvic bone at the iliac crest area.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is due to some pathology at lumbar spine. You must undergo MRI lumbar spine and X-ray lumbar spine. You should sleep on hard bed. After tests consult an orthopedic surgeon. Till tests, you may take painkiller as Aceclofenac and any over the counter multivitamins antioxidant combination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi, General & Family Physician
