Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had pretty strong lower back pain for a couple weeks now, initially thought it was from exercising. It worse on my right side and there s an area that actually is tender to touch just below bra line, also experiencing pain similar to menstrual cramps in lower back and frontal pelvic region. Experiencing discomfort when wiping also. I went to clinic a week ago thinking I had a UTI and took Bactrim for 5 days seemed to get better but now seems to be coming back
It looks like you have mild cramps in your abdomen & pain in the back(right side). It could be UTI.
Visit ER, get physically examined. Get Urinalysis(R/E & C/S) done at the earliest.
It will help your treating doctor to give you a course of specific medicines(antibiotics) which will work to kill the infection.
In the meantime, take plenty of water. Avoid the use of public toilet & stay away from sex. You can take spasmol(spasmoproxyvon), one sos when pain.
For back pain, take Acetaminophen (Tylenol), one sos when pain. Visit ER, get examined, get assessed the area which is tender below the bra line. Avoid wearing bra for a couple of days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
