Suggest Treatment For Lower Back Pain

Hi there I am a 33 year old construction worker I have had some lower back pain pretty much since I started working. But around the last month I have had pretty intense pain in my lower back feels like above my hip but it is not my hip. I get a severe burning pain down my right leg. It woke me up out of my sleep last night and felt as if I couldn't get out of bed. Almost felt if I moved the wrong way I was going to rip my self in two. And it has caused me to wet the bed a few times..... please help

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I think this is a discal hernia with spinal canal stenosis sighs. The bad sing is involuntary (uncontrolled) urination which means that the disc is compressing the medulla. I think this is a medical emergency and you should see a doctor and perform imaging studies such as lower back MRI and other tests. Depending on the results you may need spinal surgery to release the spinal canal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Edvin Selmani
