Suggest Treatment For Lower Buttock Pain

Lower buttock is hurting extremely bad. Pain is located at the left gluteus fold region. Area is swollen, about 2 inches long and a circumference about 0.5 inch. Extremely painful to sit on, and difficult to lay down. Ben-gay helps with pain and 3 200mg of ibuprofen helps for about 4 hours. Can someone help me with what type of doctor should I see about this, and any idea of what this is?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to haematoma or abscess formation. So a local examination by an orthopaedician or general surgeon is well appreciated to rule out this. In case of abscess it should be drained and antibiotic will be required. Do you had any trauma on buttock? Is the swelling under any hair follicle?

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
