Suggest Treatment For Lumbar Degenerative Disc Disease
I just got released from a hospital stay for spinal herniated disc disease. They gave me an MRI after being placed in anaesthesia state, this was done approximately 15 hrs sgo. Now I have an extended stomach with soarness type pain when coughing. Also when coughing a Small amount of thick blood is exhaled bout a half tea spoon.
If you were given general anesthesia, they might have put an endotracheal tube, that is a tube to maintain the airway.
This may cause cough, soreness in the throat and even little blood. If this was the case then you shod not worry it would settle in a few days. You may take some painkillers like paracetamol and antacidgaviscon for few days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
