Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lump in my earlobe and it popped up about 3.5 weeks ago. it began decreasing in size after a weeks so i didnt think much of it, but today i checked on it and its become much larger. It dosnt hurt and you cant see it. what most likely is this? Should i see my doctor?
The bump on the ear lobe could be a cyst (fluid filled cavity), acne or furuncle (boil) caused due to bacterial infection.
Antibiotic cream should be applied to prevent increase in infection. Any pus or fluid discharge should also be noted and requires incision, draining, cleaning the region and antibiotic application.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
