Suggest Treatment For Lump In Throat And Dry Mouth

27 year old male in the health care field. Currently on Celexa and Amitriptyline for IBS Anxiety. Feels like I have a lump in my throat and as if my trachea is bulging out of my neck. It is not actually bulging, but just describing the discomfort. I have had this problem for over 4 weeks now. I try drinking a gallon to 2 gallons a day of water to stay hydrated but my mouth continues to be dry and sore swallowing. I have noticed over the past week expiratory wheezes. No Dyspnea, No Weight Gain/Loss, No loss of apetite and no recent illness. I have not noticed any chest discomfort or acid reflux either. Thoughts? Could it be from dry mouth from my medications or could it be a serious health concern from my 14 years of chewing tobacco use?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

ENT examination is needed to declare anything and from now onwards, don't take tobacco. its severity can be said on a physical examination. Nicotine patch replacement under a physician's guidance can be used to overcome tobacco. You must do 'Art of Living' OMBW course. It will help to heal your IBS and tobacco habit also. I have seen a patient with similar history totally recover after OMBW and proper treatment from a physician.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
