Suggest Treatment For Lump On Forehead After Suffering A Head Injury
Thx my sister fell is in hospital er hit her right forehead and broke her rist. What would you request er Docs to do besides fixing fracture, I am worried about goose egg may be bleeding or brain swelling what meds should she not be given if there is fracture internal issues. Is a Ct scan a must to
Goose egg on the head DOES NOT represent brain swelling so you need not worry about that as a potential problem. The bump on the head itself is likely due to swelling and bruising that is under the skin and will go away with time and maybe some ice for a few days. The doctors will determine if a CT of the head is necessary based upon what happened immediately following the blow to the head. If they feel she is at risk for a brain bleed they will definitely get a CT of the head.
