Suggest Treatment For Lump On Side Of Face

My son who is 4 has developed a pea sized lump on the side of his face. The lump itself is hard & it has a wart like appearance on the outside of his skin. It is in front of his ear on the side of his face. Can you give me any idea what it could be & should I be concerned about it? I will take him to my own gp just got shock when I saw it this evening.

I have gone through your query.

you have mentioned that your son who is 4 years old has developed pea size lump at face which looks like wart and is locate in front of the ear.

you are concerned about what it can be
there are several types of lesions which can arise at the face
they include

-Sebaceous cyst which arise as infection of Hair
-Lipoma (a benign lesion of fats)
-Warts
- Basal Cell Carcinoma ,
-Xanthoma (a condition when fats build up under the surface of the skin).

among these all, Basal Cell carcinoma is of key attention although all need an evaluation by the clinical assessment.

All such lesions on skin's exposed areas need a close evaluation by the physician to role out its nature and Plan treatment timely.
