Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have a pea sized lump on the inside of my elbow joint. It is not painful and moves around a bit if I push it. It appeared suddenly. I have had the same thing a month ago for a couple of days but it disappeared but now it has come back. What is it and should I have it checked?
As per my clinical experience, the lump around elbow joint, which is not painful and moves around indicates benign soft tissue lesion most likely. The most common one among this is sebaceous cyst or epidermal inclusion cyst where sebum type material gets collected inside the swelling and grows over a period of time.
A visit to your consultant surgeon is mandatory from this point of view to avoid future chances of infection inside it apart from increase in size.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
