Suggest Treatment For Lump On Upper Right Gum Along With Ulcer
I have had a lump on my upper right gum since September. Taken two rounds of antibiotics, not consistantly but completed both. Ulcer of some sort appeared about a week ago. No pain at all. Yesterday gums and the underneath of upper lip started tingling and almost feel numb. ???
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you have an abscess over the gums that is painless as it has become chronic in nature as it is present since long.. It can be probably a dental abscess that seems to be related to an infected tooth.. Numbness of the gums and lips is also due to pressure over the nerve caused by the pus that is present in the lump.. Consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can help in diagnosis and treated accordingly.. In case if there is an infected tooth then root canal treatment of tooth followed by antibiotics and painkillers will help.. In case if it is due to gum infection then deep scaling and curettage along with topical application of antibiotic ointment and antiseptic mouthwash gargles will help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
