I have recently had a small lump under my left armpit and yesterday I noticed there are now three of them. This concerns me as I think it may be in the lymph nodes. I am a 73 year old white male is reasonably good health and just recently retired. Your opinion, please. Thank you!

General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hi,
These are definitely lymph nodes. If you don't have any other symptoms as any abnormal growth in body or any infection, then go for below mentioned drugs. Take antibiotic as amoxicillin clavunate.
Also add anti-inflammatory drug as tablet Diclofenic. Your problem should resolve in a period of 5 to 7 days. But if there is no resolution, then go for blood work up as CBC and FNAC biopsy of lump. I am sure that you will get diagnosis of your condition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Varinder Joshi
