Hi,
Noted your short history of recurrent swelling with formation of opening near anus, not healing in spite of many antibiotics, wants to know what can be done.
The commonest reasons I can think about ae one of the following:
Fistula in ano. The commonest one.
Perianal
recurrent boils.
Some skin disorder.
Fungal infection with super-added infection.
This can be diagnosed by the following ways:
Consult a General Surgeon or a
Proctologist for proper clinical evaluation.
MRI helps the best to know the internal extent and diagnosis.
Aided by per-
rectal examination, ano-proctoscopy and Colonoscopy.
Once a proper diagnosis is done surgery can be planned as per the findings.
Go for surgery and remember and discuss with your surgeon about recurrence and so on.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
