General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern for your Mom.
Lumps at the base of the neck cannot be treated unless it is known why and what it could be. To diagnose it, you need to get the following tests done:
1. Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) of the lesions.
2. Ultrasound scan of the region.
3. Excision Biopsy, if there is an indication by FNAC.
Once you are done with these tests, kindly consult Surgeon with the reports for appropriate management.
Hope the information provided is clear.
All the best.
