Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About 3 weeks back I felt small lumps on my right underarm..there were about 3 now there's 4,they were painful at first but aren't anymore.3 days ago I felt the same lumps on my left underarm..they're painful to touch and there's 2.They are relatively small. What could be causing them?
It is possible that the lumps are related to infection of the glands in the axilla.
This is one of the areas in which this can occur.
If this is the case then antibiotic treatment would be needed. Your doctor can do this after reviewing the lesions. If any of the areas is an abscess, it may also need to be incised.
An abscess is a localised collection of pus.
I hope this helps
