Suggest Treatment For Lumps On Head And Swelling In Skull After Injury
I was hit on the head about 10 years ago and knocked unconcious. I was taken to hospital and told I lost 4 pints of blood and suffered what they called a 'full body shutdown' - something like the body going into hibernation. Ever since I have had 2 lumps on my head which I merely put down to scar tissue, In the past few months I have noticed more swelling on the outside of my skull on the same side as the original lump (not on the other side). It is feint, my partner does not notice it, but when I feel it it seems very defined. Is it linked?
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
I do not believe there is any relation to the hit you got 10 years ago, it doesn't cause lump appearance after years. Lumps are not uncommon they usually represent benign growths such as atheroma or lipoma. Do not need any intervention unless it gets infected and causes pain or is aesthetically affecting your well-being. In that case can be removed through minor surgery with local anesthesia.
I remain at your disposal for other questions.
