I had a CT scan the other day and they tried to poke this arm right there and now I got a big lump in it burns between my shoulder and my elbow in my elbows got this lump on it or they tried to poke so I don t really know what s going on but the arms getting worser and it hurts and it burns and its starting to affect my shoulder in the back to my spine thank you
From your history, I can understand that you have a lump on your arm between shoulder and elbow. The following are few probable causes: 1) Hematoma or a blood clot 2) Ganglion cyst 3) Granuloma 4) Infected lipoma
Most probably yours is a hematoma or blood clot. The following are few treatment options: 1) Cold compression with an ice pack everyday for 5-10 mins 2) NSAIDs like ibuprofen to be taken twice daily to reduce the pain and inflammation 3) Any topical antibiotic ointment can be applied 4) If the swelling breaks open, it has to be cleaned with povidone iodine
Even with the above measures, your lump doesn't relieve, you need to consult a surgeon for a specific diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
