Hi my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer on August of last year. He has taken about 8 weeks of radiation and chemo the doctors say they can't do surgery because the tumor is too big and too close to his windpipe it is incurable and unoperable. He weighed 200 pounds now he is at 163 pounds and he started back to smoking.He is 63 years old 5'8"
Hi Your husband is suffering from stage 3 lung cancer. Treatment at this stage consist of chemotherapy and radiotherapy concurrently. Since it is incurable and unoperable I would advise he does CT scan of chest every 3 montly and when the tumour progresses to stage 4 he starts palliative chemotherapy. Regards DR De
