Suggest Treatment For Memory Loss And Inattentiveness
Hello, I've been having trouble paying attention lately. I'm nervous to go to a doctor's office because I feel like they're just going to think I'm a college kid looking for a stimulant. This has been a problem for around 4 years, I'm 20. I'm constantly forgetting things, leaving class early because i can't sit still. Please tell me what I should do!!
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have memory loss and inattentiveness. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like anxiety , stress , depression , Parkinson's disease or vitamin B1 (thiamine) deficiency. The symptoms you mention in query can also occur due to side effects of some medicine you are taking , which usually are temporary and subside with withdrawal of medicine . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination , Doctor may order CT scan , MRI along with taking history . Doctor may prescribe vitamin supplement along with antidepressants . Doctor may also prescribe supplement like ginkgo biloba.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
