Hello, I had my last menstrual cycle ten days ago and last night my vagina was "spurting" blood. Sorry I do not know how else to describe it. There were blood clots and I used a tampon which I changed after two hours. Today I am still bleeding but not excessively like yesterday. I am not on birth control and don't think I am having a miscarriage as my last period was ten days ago. I am 29 years old. This also happened two months ago although not as heavily. I have had irregular periods my whole life but it was more of two to three periods a month never spotting in between. I have been spotting in between periods for the last eight months with actual heavy bleeding two times in the last three months.
Listening to your symptoms I would suggest that you undergo investigations to understand what underlies - it could be a problem with uterus or ovaries. Sometimes polycystic ovaries can result in such problems as you are having. I would like to suggest following investigations as a basic start - full blood count, thyroid function test, HbA1C and pelvic ultrasound. We can plan management accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
