Hi doc,i am Bhargabi paital .I m 28 yrs old .I want to get pregnant.but I have hypothyroidism n pics..my thyroid is normal now that I m continuing thyronerm..I had stopped harmoni f on 5th july as prescribed by my doc..will I get my regular period after it? Please suggest me.. One question I want to ask that I had my period on 9 th july after stopping my pill on 5 th july..does ovum release during this menstrual period..?

Hi,

No the menstrual cycle is the least fertile time of the month and is when the lining of the uterus is falling off.
The cycle requires a certain level of health for it to run normally and for fertility. This will require thyroid hormone and this can be checked in a lab. Generally, people do not stop needing thyroid hormone and will need the hormone lifelong.
