Suggest Treatment For Mental Illness

I have sister aged 25 years. Had marriage about one year ago.after marraige four five month she suffered from mental illness. Hitting her self.lock.her self in room.and saying I will suicide . Some time stay silent . We almost had done treatment from psychiatrist .but yet not got any benefit .she has same condition nowadays she is more wrost. Please suggest me what to.do..

Hello,
First of all, extremely sorry for your sister. As per your explanation she might be suffering from two extreme opposite mental phases. Maniac and Depression phase. In Maniac phase she gets violent and tend to harm herself and stay away from society and family.
In depression phase she just stay calm. Taking consideration of her age and symptoms she will be cured completely. Just thorough clinical examination and counseling from experienced Psychiatrist is important.
Usually follow up consultation is required in such cases and you must continue the treatment as per your treating Psychiatrist suggestions. Keep in touch with your doctor and inform about patient's status, so that doctor may verify the treatment & make some changes.
Same time family support to patient plays great role. If family supports the patient and try to understand her mental state then she will cure soon.
