Suggest Treatment For Metastasized Squamous Cell Carcinoma

I had diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma on my upper lip mid and was treated with effedux in 2009. I have symptoms that I believe it has metasticized to my lymph nodes in my underarm/chest and gallbladder. I want to get CT/PET scan of head chest abdomen. What type of doctor should I request this with success from?

Hello,

You need to consult an oncologist and radiation oncologist for further management. PET scan is required to know the extend of spread / metastasis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
