Dear Dr Oana, My wife has breast cancer (3years ago) which has spread into her spine and liver which is terminal. Her blood results, taken every 3 months, show a steady increase upto approx 100. She now has teeth and gum conditions which cause her pain, this varies from day to day and she has been seening her gp over the last 2/3 months to try and overcome these mounth conditions which are now becoming intollerable without taking anitripterlene at night but these do not get rid of the pain totally. Her final effort is to see a Maxi-facial expert on the 16th of Jan but as her conditon gets worse she can not wait till then...............any feed back is most appreciated at your earliest convenience.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, and really sorry to hear that, in metastasis condition severe painful condition is very likely and in such situation pain can be managed with narcoticanalgesic, but patient need to be qualified for this, else she must be in need of strong moral support and some time this works even much better than pain killing medicine, hope this information helps, take care,
