Suggest Treatment For Migraine While Breastfeeding

Almost 4 months post partum. Have a knot in my shoulder I am getting massages for and this pain in my neck and back are bringing on tension/migraine headaches...and ultimately a lot of anxiety where I am now afraid to be out in public due to the anxiety. I am breastfeeding. The headache feels like my head is in a pressure cooker, not so much pain just loads of pressure? My doctor says nothing neurological is going on, but the anxiety with it is really hindering, could it be related to post partum?

Hello,

The excess anxiety can cause tension headache.

So you need to consult a psychiatrist for counseling and detailed evaluation. Paracetamol can be prescribed for headache.

In migraine pain is usually unilateral and throbbing. It can be associated with nausea as well. So migraine doesn't seem to be a possibility.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
