Suggest Treatment For Mild Active Colitis Causing Loose Stools
sir my name is zeshan from last two years i am suffering from loose stool .reciently i. oncerned to doctor .he get my colonoscopy & biapcy test ..result MILD ACTIVE COLITIS .after this he check my complete blood tests thank got all are normal...but sir i am useing his medcines but i am not satisfied ..and not batter... kindly guide me what type of treatment i choose
Based on the history you have shared, these inflammatory changes can be caused by repeated lose motions however one thing is cleared from the biopsy that any neoplastic or pre cancerous cells presence is excluded.
Colitis is basically any inflammation of large intestines and can be due to infective cause or due to other causes like autoimmune disorders so it's better to get baselines auto immune work up with ANA and antibodies screening. Stool analysis and calprotectin level may be helpful as well.
Meanwhile using probiotics and anti inflammatory drugs may be enough but Rheumatologist or gastroenterologist review for any need of immunosuppressive therapy should be discussed. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Regards
