General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

A fracture (if mild, probably hairline) does take lesser amount of time to heal, but it also depends on the extent and degree. I would recommend continued bed rest, and immobilisation until his doctor advises against that from a more recent X-ray which proves his complete recovery.

Taking into consideration the fact that your father is not a very young gentleman, I would recommend sticking to solo 650 may be about 3 times a day a tablet each time, it would be best not to up the pain medication, unless he really cannot take the pain, visit his doctor.

Best wishes.
