Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi am a 22 year old and my periods dont how regularly i once wen to the doctor and he told me my hormones were blocked and gave me pills and i took them but yet again i can see that am on my periods buh they do not come out they just stop right there in my vigaina and wanted to know if i go on months without going to my periods wont it affect my chances of being pregnant thank you
If your periods are irregular or not coming then I would suggest you to check for your thyroid profile. If thyroid function tests are normal then check for serum beta HCG to rule out pregnancy. However, if both the tests come normal then I would suggest you to undergo Ultrasound of ovaries, uterus and fallopian tubes. If that also comes normal then take tablet
Provera for 5-10 days.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Abdul Hamid Mavli, General & Family Physician
