Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been diagnosed with mononucleosis I ve been suffering from this infection for about 6 years I continuously get mono at least twice a year when I m not getting much sleep I notice that is when it comes. I have questions about dark spots all over my tongue I ve noticed that they came once I was diagnosed with mononucleosis and I am also a former smoker and I know that these dark spots come from continuous throat infections and smoking I wanted to know how or can these dark spots be removed
There is no specific therapy available to treat infectious mononucleosis. Antibiotics don't work against viral infections such as mono. Treatment mainly involves taking care of yourself, such as getting enough rest, eating a healthy diet and drinking plenty of fluids.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.
