Suggest Treatment For Muffled Hearing, Blocked Nose And High Pitched Noise

hi,i went swimming few weeks ago,stupidly used a q tip,little bit of dark wax was on it,went to doctors as my hearing was muffled,he said theres nothing there and told me to block nose and mouth to clear it but all i hear is clicking and now constant high pitch noise,can you help. thank you

Hi,

This probably suggests a blocked eustachian tube, and that is why your doctor advised to blow out blocking mouth and nose(this manoeuver opens the blocked tube). Also try using a chewing gum, as frequent swallowing also will help to open this up. If no relief in 5 days, kindly consult an ENT specialist to look for other causes like impacted wax.
