Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About a week ago I was hit in the side of the head during a game. My hearing is now muffled in both ear. I went to a hearing specialist and my hearing test was ok and he said it could be from a concussion even thought I didn t loose conciseness. Will the muffled sound go away and usually how long?
The muffled sound should resolve once there are no changes in structure. Though you were already assessed by an ENT specialist, you may want to consider a second opinion to make sure that they are no structural damage contributing to the hearing loss.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
