Suggest Treatment For Multiple Blockages Post Bypass Surgery
I am an type one diabetic since age of 8 years old I am now 53 plus I have coronary artery disease and had bypass 15 years ago I still have numerous blockages that nothing can be done my cretine level has been creeping up and I think they said it is now1.28 and I am going to see a kidney doctor in july am I in kidney failure I can not seem to get a straight answer thank you
Re-stenosis of bypass vessels can be possible in certain cases particularly with high risk factors such as: - Advanced age - Atherosclerosis of severe degree - Hypercholesterolemia - Continuous heavy smoking - Over weight with BMI above 30 - Diabetes (uncontrolled)
The creatinine of 1.28 is not suggestive of renal failure and nothing to worry for that figure.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
