Suggest Treatment For Multiple Cervical Lymph Nodes On Neck
Hello Doctor,
I'm 26 years old and I have a swelling of lymph nodes on both sides of neck under the jaw. During ultrasound scan of neck they found that multiple cervical lymph nodes, two lymph nodes measuring 7-9mm in parotid glands and reactive adenitis. What does it mean. What should be the treatment I needed. Please suggest
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The multiple lymphnodes in the neck are common because there are different group of lymphnodes present in the neck region. But if there is any change in the size and shape of the lymphnodes may indicate a pathology. The reactive adenitis can be nothing but an inflamatory response of your salivary gland to any infection like bacterial sialadenitis or secondary to any stone. Nothing to worry, consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin (if you are not allergic). I hope I have answered your query, take care.
