Suggest Treatment For Muscle Pain, Low Grade Fever And Loss Of Appetite

My wife has been suffering from joint and muscle pain for about 2 months. Other symptoms include minor weight loss, low grade fever, loss of appetite, lack of energy, and inability to sleep due to discomfort in all parts of her body from neck down. She thinks she may have polymyalgic rheumatica. Her doctor wants her to see a Rheumatologist ASAP.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your wife have been suffering from muscle pain, low grade fever and loss of appetite. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to viral infection in body or underlying systemic pathology. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult general physician once for proper examination . Doctor may order blood and urine tests for complete examination. Doctor may prescribe NSAIDS along with multivitamin supplements. Doctor may refer you to orthopedician for further evaluation and can start treatment accordingly. Take diet rich in multivitamins.
